Your Wicklow & Glendalough Itinerary

From the moment you leave Dublin, the city streets give way to rolling hills and winding country lanes.
Your guide will point out film locations from Braveheart and P.S. I Love You, but the real star is the landscape itself, wild, untamed, and impossibly beautiful.
Sally Gap: Ireland’s Open Sky

High in the mountains, the road crests at Sally Gap, one of Ireland’s most iconic mountain passes.
Here, the land stretches out in all directions, sweeping valleys carved by glaciers, peat bogs shimmering with hidden pools, and distant ridges that fade into soft blue haze.
Glendalough: Monks & Lakeside Serenity

Descending into a green valley, you arrive at Glendalough, the “valley of two lakes.”
Founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century, this monastic settlement still holds a haunting beauty, its round tower, stone churches, and weathered crosses nestled among ancient yew trees.
A gentle walk leads you along woodland paths to the shimmering lakes, where reflections of mountain slopes ripple across the water. Whether you wander slowly by the Upper Lake or sit quietly on its shore, Glendalough is a place that invites both awe and contemplation.
Powerscourt Gardens & Waterfall

Your driver will then take you to Powerscourt, an elegant estate where terraced gardens, rose beds, and fountains unfold against the backdrop of Sugarloaf Mountain. It’s a softer, manicured beauty, a contrast to Wicklow’s wild heart.
Additionally, your driver guide will take you to visit Powerscourt Waterfall, the tallest in Ireland, tumbling 121 meters through a leafy glen. The air here feels cool and misty, filled with the sound of rushing water and birdsong.
Return Drive Through Wicklow’s Rolling Hills
As the day winds down, your driver will guide you back toward Dublin.
